They already x-ray every device that is carried onboard a flight. Maybe instead of considering a ban they could have the users turn the device on. I don't see a way of making the device function AND have a dangerous cargo inside it. An outright ban …

> except California and Turkey In other words, if the law requires Apple to keep supporting a model, they will. But just there. Anyone else gets the shaft.

I'm usually *highly* critical of corporations and I always vote for politicians who try to reign in their power and regulate them. That said, I can kind of understand AT&T's position here. If you're gonna consume that much data, can you at lea…

The absurdity of this claim makes you wonder if this "analyst" (I use the term loosely) is just trying to get his name in the news. Apple is desperate to expand Apple Pay, so there's literally 0% chance they'd release a new iPhone without TouchID.

$40 a month is a lot, considering it won't bring you all the content. I think I'd only pay that much if it were a complete solution. As it stands, $11/month for Netflix plus $9/month for Prime (which I may drop) give me more than I can watch.

It's been long known that JD Power rankings can be purchased. It appears MS slipped them a million dollars worth of incentives.

This sucks. But as much as it sucks, at least it's a *reason* for delaying iMac and MacBook updates. We have yet to hear a reason why Apple hasn't updated the MacPro in 1200 days.

> There's no physical lock switch on the new iPad WTF? How do you mute the sounds then? And, no, the answer is not to turn the volume all the way down. I keep all my iOS devices sound off 99% of the time, but there are certain things that overri…

So if I had done a clean install last week on a 4yo Mac, you're saying it wouldn't have installed 10.12.3, but whatever version of 10.8 or 10.9 that it originally shipped with? Correct. That's why this news of the new function is awesome for …

Good. Mail.app is very long in the tooth and continues to lack features other email clients had a dozen years ago. Now maybe whoever takes over Mail.app will bring it out of the dark ages.

Seems to me the much cheaper way to do this would be to disassemble a black iPhone, paint the back case red, then reassemble. In fact, then you could have any color you chose. You could use one of those automotive paints they use on brake calipers …
