I sure wouldn't count on Apple dying any time soon. Remember: Apple is making a profit when most others aren't. When the economy comes back full swing I look for their profits to increase.

Here's the BIG question you'd have to ask yourselves. Why would Apple transition to an x86 processor from Intel when Intel themselves are trying to transition to the EPIC (Explicit Parallel Instruction Computing) based processors offered in the I…

I don't think we'll see a problem like this with Apple hardware or software. Considering Apple makes BOTH parts (sells the hardware and software), it's unlikely they'd let a glaring mistake like this slip past them. Not to mention the article is t…

The iPod is almost surely going to be updated to 20G. As for a PDA, I doubt it. I say, "If you need a PDA today then buy one today. If you only want one to have the newest trendy device, then you'll be waiting a while."

I agree, there will be a Next Generation processor. What Apple decides to call it is unknown. I think it would be in Apple's best interest to go with a processor design that Motorola and IBM can BOTH work on and manufacture. That way there's inno…

I'd have to go with option 3. I think it'll be a slight alteration of 3 though. Maybe to include Rapid I/O.

Quantum computing is the true next leap in terms of technology. I think MIT or CMU have prototypes of a Quantum computer running in their labs. Reportedly, the machine has enough bandwidth to download the ENTIRE Internet in less than a minute.…

So Firewire 2 will support several speeds then. From what I gather your article says, it'll depend on the type of wiring used to connect. Thanks for your help.
