No pricing announced. Battery life? Is this thing supposed to sit on a desk or on your lap? Will the kick stand snap? How much are those smart covers with keyboards on them? What is Windows RT, I thought it was for tablets but now it seems it's only…

Click where for the live feed?! Doesn't work on an iPad

Apple throws out red herring prototypes to determine where the leaks in its ship are. Remember how everyone was convinced that the 4S would have a tapered 'teardrop' design? Tim Cook said at d10 that the company is becoming even more secretive. It s…

I suspect the extra pixels at the top will be used for a redesigned notification centre and status bar. The part of the screen devoted to apps will remain the same, but notifications will slide over the larger status bar meaning they don't get in th…

Sir Jony is widely regarded as one of the best designers in world and by all accounts a pretty crazy and passionate guy who any designer would dream to work for. Plus he's English! The queen will be furious if she reads this article and sees that yo…

I just hope that we finally get business searches via Siri in the UK

As others have said, in the UK all the carriers offer the iPhone 4S for free on a 24 month contract. You've been able to get a free iPhone since at least 2009 (when O2 lost exclusivity). So why is this newsworthy?

I think the 4 finger swipe is difficult on the iPhone's small screen and it can interfere with some apps, such as photo editing and paint apps. Most stats show Android surpassed iOS in terms of market share around the end of 2010 and continues t…

I believe the elongated home button will allow you to swipe left and right to switch apps, replacing the rather clumsy double tap multi tasking and resembling Lion in full screen mode where you 'slide' between apps. There is zero chance that the…

These kind of articles are the reason I visit Appleinsider. I'm not going to pretend I understand the technical issues entirely (I'm a lawyer, not a technical person) but Appleinsider is good place to learn, as long as you appreciate that their take…

Rumors of the Verizon iPhone being just around the corner have persisted since 2007. If it was going to happen, it would have happened by now. These reports and predictions have been totally wrong for 3 years so I'm not about to start believing them…

Not being American, I have no interest at all in the age old rumour that Verizon will be getting the iPhone. However, it is interesting that a lot of networks - including o2 in the UK who launched the iPhone and had exclusivity for some time - are r…

I'm really sceptical of these rumours about iTV. First of all, iTV is the old name for AppleTV so I don't understand why Apple would suddenly change their mind, not least because of the well established UK TV network of the same name. But also, S…

I have to say, living in the cold and rainy UK, I was surprised when I took my iPad to Italy this summer and saw the overheating message for the first time. But also because I'm not American, my first thought when something unexpected happens isn't …
