Man all I wanted was for someone who actually has a 800 mghz imac and has burned a dvd to say hey i made a however minute long movie it took x amount of time to encode and then x amount of time to burn to dvd.

Well since OS X is built on UNIX there might also be a swap partition or file thats taking up space.

Make shure there is nothing sticking to the bottom of it. Just a little bit of grime in the wrong spot can make it act up and respond strangely.

Nice pics synapse, It seems the new case should be less noisy than the the older one. It doesn't appear there are any air ducts like on the old case which were the main source of noise. The new cases look great! So those of you who have them are…

I was all set to get the 17" iMac but now that 1ghz powermacs cost 500 bucks less and they now have a faster bus and ddr memory I'm leaning towards the powermac. Maybe Santa will bring me a cinema display for it. I've been good, honest
