This sets a very dangerous precedent. First, it pretty much makes all injunctions, regardless of validity, completely useless. Second, by doing it on grounds of accused monopolies, rather than defending their own work, this is pretty much givi…

I think the point is that they're not making enough money. classic and shuffle has their purposes, sure, but Apple generally doesn't aim for niche market.

There is a distinct difference between open source and (what I call anyway) free source. Now, there's nothing model with a free source model, where you develop a product then allow people access to the source. All my software is developed that way. …

The difference in the case of patents is that companies are legally required to license F/RAND patents for the same fees to any and all interested parties. In the cases you mention that's a physical seller/buyer model which isn't encumbered by the s…

That's not a bug, that's by design. A fullscreen app is different than resizing an app to take up all real estate and putting the Dock on autohide. It's done this way because apps often have UI elements at the bottom of the window, and in fullscreen…

I don't think Jobs ever meant the PC was dead or anything close to the term with the "Post-PC era" description. He likened PCs to pickup trucks, which is very apt. Trucks still at the forefront of development, they have the highest profit margins am…
