So very glad I didn't wait for Mac World and picked up my iMac in the refurb store months ago.

Seems to me this iPhoto '09 is a copy of Picasa

Will these new chips in Mac Pro increase the cost, and by much? Is it worth waiting for the update to the Mac Pro in January?

This, coupled with other problems could be one other reason why apple has held off on any other updates before the end of the year.

I think having a large touch screen could yield exciting possibilities for audio applications, I'm thinking instrument control be it live or studio.

Realistically, is it worth waiting for the MBP 17"? Will the specs be that much better than what's available on the 15"? Will the new 17" be a worse deal given it'll probably lose FW400 and be no choice glossy screen?

I think Ireland is on the money with the TV market. I also think we should see an Apple DVR option given the mess that is the Apple TV. I think if they're going to do TVs they'll want to get it all so a DVR option makes sense.

I don't see how these changes turns any spotlight to apple notebooks... or helps to set apple apart from competitors. All this talk about this event being a "product transition" or delivery of "state-of-the-art new products" that competitors "just a…

If they are to announce a full touch screen MB or some tablet today that may explain why they'd hold off on updating the 17" model...
