Actually there is a DC++ client for OS X, it runs under X11 and kinda sucks, but may work. I can't seem to find the site and don't remember the name though.

Well... we can estimate 500KB cover art per song... 500KB * 15,000 songs = 7.5GB growth. Of course cover art is probably a lot less than 500KB when compressed/reduced size.

Meh, I have both a desktop and laptop in a fully wireless campus, I don't find myself aching for my laptop. Then again my laptop runs winsuck, and does frustrate me a lot. Desktops are safer anyway.

There is no 5.1 for iMacs without an add on card. You can have 2x stereo or prologic decoding, which works from 2 channels, but no true 5.1.

They're referring to the cd write speed in DVD recorders, which is absurdly slow, i.e. the current G5 super drive only writes CDs at 16x.
