FWIW, I found out about Finder's FTP client. It's still read-only. And it does the stupid ask twice thing when opening files. In fact I don't think they touched the FTP code at all.

I've heard lag issues with the MX1000 when you pick the mouse up/place down, can anyone comment on this? This would make playing some games very difficult, i.e. first person shooters, where you need to lift the mouse up while turning.

I did this same setup with an xbox and ibook. It seems that the xbox and ibook don't like to dhcp each other properly, so I had to manually configure the xbox and ibook ip addresses as well as specifying the dns server on the xbox.
