Who buys these things? I'm one of them. And I'm not rich, nor do I have tons of money to throw around, but I'm more of a nomad with a tiny flat with very little room for TVs, desktop computers, etc. I travel about 5 months a year and I can't stan…

Blu-ray movies aren't unreasonably priced. At $24.99 for many of them they are less than DVD movies were when DVD debuted, and they are far less than VHS movies were when the studios first started releasing their movies on tape. If my MacBook Pr…

Thanks for the responses. I tried NTFS first, but the game I'm running is quite old and didn't run, so I reformatted the partition as FAT32, installed WinXP Service Pack 2, installed the game and it runs well (the cutscenes, however, are heavily ob…

CRT monitors often had optical coatings on the glass that reduced glare. Apple could do the same. Asking someone to fork over an additional 50 bucks and having them have to apply an anti glare "screen protector" isn't serving that market. It's no…

I've been flying more lately, and netbooks is about all I see these days in the airports and on the planes. I feel almost embarrassed pulling my 17" MBP out of my backback around a bunch of netbook users. And the MBP really is overkill and is impo…

Macworlds were fun to watch when the processor wars were on. The secrecy..... the anticipation...... PPC vs Intel, Mac vs Wintel...... RISC vs CISC.... now computers are all on the same hardware and it's dullsville.

The easiest way I suppose would be to dump the pictures into your MacBook Air via USB first, then connect the hard drive to the USB and copy them over to it. Either that or a powered hub, just like you suggested.

Macs and 5.1 can be tricky as Apple expects us to buy/own an AV receiver for a home theatre system. They really don't expect or really support users who want to make their MacBook into their home theatre system. Here's how you can do this.... I…

My iPhone was launching iPhoto as it's recognized as a camera by the application. I ended up deselecting iPhoto as a default application for cameras. iPods used to mount on the desktop like any other HD but now they have to use iTunes. iTunes…

Some PC vendors offer very high quality, well designed notebooks. The Sony Vaio are very nice notebooks with up to 1 TB HD, BluRay Read/Write, 18.6" screen with satin finish, up to 8 GB RAM. Sony uses the same hardware as the MacBook, but they o…

The original poster raises valid points about both OS X and Windows (XP and Vista). Cannon driver support for OS X is abysmal and their website support is user unfriendly. Their all in one enterprise printer/copiers are especially difficult. An…

Tauron, you are an idiot and an ill spoken bufoon, and you prove it with each post you make. Now, to everyone else here..... I've been an Apple user and owner for over 14 years. In that time I've persuaded dozens of friends, family members, and …

I've stopped purchasing DVD's years ago anticipating an upgrade to BluRay and when Apple announced they were on board with BluRay, well, I've been waiting ever since. DVD's don't look so good on this 1920 x 1200 screen.

The current form factor/size of the iPhone is perfect. The size that the original poster wants is about the size of my Newton (MP200) and I never had a pocket that was big enough for it. I don't think a phone that requires a backpack or a belt cli…
