If it is itunes, then why only 250,000 songs? Doesn't the itunes music store offer over 500,000 songs now?

I've also noticed that a lot of cd's are now 9.99 at bestbuy

My wife was shopping at wegmans (local grocery store) and said she saw a stock boy in the cooler getting yelled at by a supervisor for looking under the cap. I guess some stores actually care about cheating

Well I have a similar addiction. I work at a drug store and pounce when the pepsi guy comes in. I have everyone saving them for me too. I'm up to around 50 or so, but I now realize I don't really have 50 songs I want to buy...

It's simply a way for apple to make it's products look less expensive than they really are. Toyota does the same thing with their cars. "Starting at 23,499" but when you price one you realize they don't make them without at least the basic options…

My question is whether most macs could handle hl2? As far as I know, most of the eye candy is due to direct X and besides that most macs come with lower end video cards. Don't get me wrong, I would love HL2 for the mac, but my 1.5 year old dual …

Does anyone else see 3ghz this summer as unlikely? (shipped, not announced) much less 3.5 by the end of the year. I only say this because... Why wouldn't they speed bump to 2.5 or something in the interim. I mean the G5 is still at 1.6 to 2.0. Y…

It was more than just product activation... It installed a program that ran in the background, all the time, using resources even when turbotax wasn't running. (Granted this is the windows version they were talking about on Extremetech last yea…

There was 'spyware' in last years product to deter doing your taxes and passing the disc to a friend so they could do theirs who in turn passes it to someone who does theirs etc. etc. There was such an uproar intuit took it out of the program f…

I really like turbotax I don't understand why its so much more on the mac than on the PC though...

I really don't think the Mac will ever be a gaming platform simply due to the relatively small user base of which few seem to be gamers. I wish it were different because I could be completely MS free, but It's not going to happen. We may be in for…

Well at work today (an especially busy day) I read the letters section of Maximum PC and the person asks about the ipod battery and the 18 month lifespan. To Maximum PC's credit (they seem to love to put the mac in the worst light possible, even pu…

One of the best things about the minipod is that you would have still had an ipod after that incident (at least thats my assumption due to the whole 'no moving parts' thing). The ipod seems so fragile considering how expensive it is and that is por…
