have you tried GoLive 7, the one bundled in the Adobe CS Suite? It's a huge improvement over 6.

The one thing I would check is if the machine has a graphics card with 32 MB such as a Radeon or GeForceMX. If you want to use OS X's Aqua Extreme you need at least one of these cards.

Photoretouche pro 3 : for colour correction. Actually prefer this over Photoshop Launchbar : be lost without it Freeway Pro : my favourite web design program. It's mac only guys!!

I suggest having a look at FontAgent pro and have it check and organize your fonts. Should do the trick. My favourite fontmanager btw!

I'm using Ambrisia's 'Escapepod' for force-quit. description: escapepod is a little application that lets you terminate the frontmost application by hitting Control-Alt-Delete, terminate the Dock by hitting Shift-Control-Alt-Delete, or do a f…

check out this: metro 6 it's an underrated programs that is extremely powerful nevertheless, and supports all standars out there, such as vst, mas and au.

or you can check out this: key commands for services It allows you to set your own key commands to the various 'services'.

if you know little of HTML, have a look at this: Freeway Pro It's an amazing program, truely WYSIWYG, and produces extremely clean code. It never ceases to amaze me what this program can do, and more importantly, how easily it does it.

I agree - Launchbar is amazing. No Mac user should be without it!

There are some Mac only programs that are simply amazing and offer stuff not available on the pc. Logic and Digital Performer come to mind. One program that is often overlooked and is both simply stunning and reasonable priced is Softpress' Free…

BBedit, though a simply amazing program, is beyond what was originally asked. Satchmo wants to do webdesign in a similar fashion to how Quark and InDesign work. In that case there is really only one option, and that's Freeway. It really does work qu…

of course it makes sense - the new mouse however is poorly designed I feel. Heavy, and very featureless unfortunately.

I'd say go for Freeway (www.softpress.com) - It's a truely WYSIWYG webdesign app. Make sure you check out the free action plugins and the FAST (Freeway Advanced Site Tools) pack. Also, it'll work with Macromedia's Contribute very shortly too …

During his NeXT days, Steve must have used 2 and 3 button 'mice' (!?!) all the time, so why not release a somilar rodent for the Mac then??

I used the mouse today at the Expo, and all I can say is that's it's too heavy for my liking, has no new features and is far too white - in other words, thanks but no thanks. As for the keyboard, it's too white as well - need I say more.

I like 'm as well, and I feel Fontagent will give the others a run for their money very shortly!! I bought Fontagent Pro just after it was released, and like I said - I love the app, it's everything a fontmanager should be and more, except for t…

As much I like Fontagent Pro, it's just not ready for primetime yet. Although everything about it's interface is totally excellent, and how it handles fonts is how it should be done, it does have two MAJOR flaws: 1: Currently it's unbearibly slow…
