Is the MacBook Pro in that pic a old generation? It has both audio in and out. I thought new ones had only 1 audio port.

While that would be a kick arse machine Dave, just doing a quick hardware breakdown in my head your looking at a 1500-1800 machine. And since you want 3G but no contract no carrier is going to pick up half that bill. The SSD, dual or quad cor…

I cant see Apple making that second one, the pop out holder on the back is ugly and something SJ would never let through, Although at least it is something. I have often wondered on cold rainy nights if/how apple will include a stand of some sort…

Buy an external battery and get over it.

The fact that this isnt a new realise so much as a update of Vista with the problems solved I'd say its going to do quite well.

Get the better graphics if you intend to game on it.

MBP may not need to be any thinner but they could be a lot lighter.

Sounds cool, hopefully be out in the next update. Maybe a refresh of the line for SL?

...I'm fairly new here. Do we get trolls?

Apple will never make a netbook, NEVER.

...no. The transfer rate is no where near high enough. Also RAM doesnt save data and is wiped when the power is off, SD cards... well they wouldnt be much good if they got wiped when taken out would they?

I can see how only an inch and a bit doesnt seem like a lot of space, but when your dealing with personal sace of >3 feet an inch feels like a mile. I'll grant you I havent actually used a 17" on campus, just the 15", but in my opinion that pushe…

I'm in the same situation as you pretty much, although for me the battery life isnt so much an issue as I can recharge fairly often. Screen: Do you really need a high resolution screen? The 15" has a beautiful monitor, and is more than good enoug…

Quote: BTW: Does anyone know if the 15" MBP's SD slot also leaves the card sticking out? There would certainly be enough space for a flush, spring-loaded slot. And considering the space they freed up by removing the ExpressCard slot, they could hav…

I've never needed to swap laptop batteries, if you charge when ever you can there are very few times when you truely need a second battery.

Everyone will always have a few SD's in their wallet, personal information ect.
