I gotta say, I switched to Chrome and really like it. Safari over time for me has slowed down tremendously - booting takes longer, and even for simple pages I was getting the beach ball far more often than I'd like. After googling it seems like th…

I think this was a good move by Google. Definitely an improvement over a complex OS that tries to be simplistic to run on cheap netbooks.

I'd love to be able to get a smartphone without having to pay the data plan. I live on a college campus where I have wifi everywhere 24/7, I have zero interest in paying for a data plan I don't intend to use. I can live without internet EVERYWHERE.

Nintendo's profits aren't high because consumers aren't going to keep buying the same hardware over and over again just because its a little thinner (see Gameboy to Game boy Pocket, Game boy Pocket to Game Boy Color, then switches to GBA to GBA SP, …

Though I feel sorry for anyone who accidentally downloads this unknowing of its design, the questions it poses as a whole are pretty interesting, in my opinion. I like the concept, I just would never download it.

EDIT: My bad, I didn't know what I was talking about. .

Anyone try this public Chrome OSX version yet? I'm definitely interested. I really like Safari 4 but I'm admittedly a fan of Google and like what I see in Chrome.

I've had Windows 7 on my MBP since the day after the RC came out for public use, and I gotta say I do quite like it, but after playing around with it for half an hour, I booted back into OSX and haven't touched it since July when I was playing Crys…

While maybe randomizing the order would be the most fair, doesn't Safari have one of the smallest percentages of users on the Windows platform, if not THE smallest? I'm not sure how this is unfair, though I would probably recommend to users they in…

My friend bought a Unibody MacBook in early June and the superdrive needed to be replaced in the first month. It had nothing to do with Snow Leopard. It would randomly not mount the CD image, it would sometimes refuse to burn or rip cd's, I rememb…

EDIT: nvm.

If you can do a clean install with this version, I am sold. I use SL for just about everything, but it is kind of a comfort factor knowing that I have Windows 7 RC on my MBP if I absolutely need it. I'll pay $30 to keep that on here.

As an engineering student, I think there could be a real use for the tablet. I love having all my notes on my MBP, and for most non-math classes, I use the program NoteBook to organize my notes in an efficient way. But for any math intensive cla…

This kind of stinks for the competition right now, but I think overall Apple's made a very positive effect on the flash memory industry. I'm no tech journalist, but as a consumer I remember what it seemed like for years flash memory always seemed v…
