I hope somebody out there knows how to burn 700mb CD's. I've been trying for awhile and the only things I have been able to find is to use Toast. However I'd rather not buy a 100 program if I can find a way to do it for free.

Is there anything out there that doesn't require the use of terminal, perhaps something with a GUI?

Unfortunatly, I do not have toast. Is there anything to do with them with the basic OSX utitlities that it ships with?

So I guess my new question is does anyone know how to install UnRar?

Thanks for the avice guys. I turned off the live word count, and that seemed to help somewhat, but I would prefer to keep the live spelling and grammar checks on. Hopefully that will work. it is pretty ridiculous that my brand new 1ghz powerbook w…

There are two small black squares on the top of the keyboard. One is to the right of the escape key, and the other is to the left of the eject key. Pull down from the top of them, and they should slide a little bit. Then just pull up and the keybo…

I know it takes hours to import with with iMovie, but from what I can tell with the Apple videos about quicktime, it appears if it is instant as soon as you make the change. Is this true? If so, the 30 bucks to get quicktime is worth all the time …

Haha, I tried iMovie, but I think it was going to take....I don't even remember how many, but ALOT of hours to import. I have been thinking about plunking down the cash to get Quicktime, but I am a little short right now, so if there is a free alte…

I guess then what I want is the UnRar with a GUI. Where can I get it? I assume that it is free as well. I don't have any knowledge of Unix or terminals or anything. I appreciate the help.

Alright, during my lunch break I went home and tested 4 different 80 minutes CDR's. I got info when I opened the CD in the finder, and it is not recognizing that they are 80 minute CD's. It says that there is a 670 maximum capacity, with 660 avail…

Thanks again for all your help, this is my first Mac, and I've only had it for a few days now, so its very possible I could be making stupid rookie mistakes. I have not checked in the finder to see if it recognizes it as an 80 minute CD, I did not …

I have tried 2 different types of CD's, Memorex and PNY Technologies, both have not allowed me to burn close to 80 minutes and both are 80 minutes CD's. The CD that I wish to burn is 79 minutes and 13 seconds. I took out the 2 seconds between trac…
