Does Exporting to Pixlet benefit anyone else besides Pixar employees? I mean, could an average shmo just export all his movie files to Pixlet and save a ton of space? Or is it not that good for us average people?

Same font they use on the eMacs and newer iMacs and iBooks and such. They've stopped using the Serif font a while ago.
