The problem is Apple makes all its money from hardware sales and the iApps are just hooks to get users. I do think the iPod or any future iProducts should be PC too, but the iApps must stay Mac only. But the iPods would give people a taste of Apple …

I hope they win. I wonder if they'll be other lawsuits like this?

Ives is amazing but Jon Rubinstein and his crew did an equally amazing job fitting so much in the form factor Ives came up with. [ 01-22-2002: Message edited by: imacSE ]

I agree that for good or bad (and it's both at times) Apple needs Steve. The main problem with Steve is that he's not always pragmatic. If somebody took over that person would have to care about Apple as much as he does and have the same, or a bette…

I'd rather them get out of the PC biz than the printer biz. Stick with what you do well. If HP goes down and Gateway goes down too that would help Apple out a lot. Really Apple would only have worry abut Sony which seems to be who they care about be…

I think we'll see the lowend LCD iMac get down to $1,100 or maybe $1,000 even and the high end go down one or two hundred. But it might take awhile for LCD prices to allow sub $1,000 prices.

It is interesting and I hope it works out for him. Good press is important.

Glad you got your computer and I look forward to your review and pics. I just called MacMall and they told me they hope to get a shipment in Monday or Tuesday of next week.
