This one is still much better than the one in January 2000 In that expo, absolutely zero new hardware. G4 was still stuck at 450MHz. Only thing was the half and hour long (not to mention boring) aqua interface demonstration.

Don't spend a whole whack of dough on 3D software if you are a beginner. For the stuff you are going to do you really don't need Maya, 3D Max, or XSI. They are way overkill Toon Boon is only for 2D cell animation stuff by the way

I will keep my opinion short and simple iMac = Dead end machine. Can't upgrade the video card. Only thing you can put in is RAM PowerMac = More "future proof" since you can upgrade and expand
