The iPhone sales trend seems to have flattened out. Will Q3 have a spike with the new iPhone 4 or will it still be level or trending down? Predicting the future is a tricky business. I'm not so sure about whether Android vs iOS would be more r…

So Apple goes and releases a darn near perfect gaming API (OpenGL ES & OpenAL) and is upset that their pocket Macs are darn good gaming platforms? How could they not see this? They even went to great lengths to make sure that the GPU was a fully…

Good job, Lee Clow. Enjoy your retirement! You deserve it.

So Apple is doing well compared to this time ten years ago. People are noticing. Now they want to see if they can squeeze out some money from the fruit. Is that a correct reading of the situation? Wouldn't the 1992 patent have expired by now? …

I would say that this is a good and overdue move on Apple's part. As for the stock prices... I think that people have decided to realize some of their gains. The prices are sure to rise again when the x-mass season is over and the tallies are in.

Are there any solutions for bringing in HDMI via Firewire 800 or USB 2.0?

Does VMWare let me install Linux too? I've already got Parallels 4.0 (the latest build last I looked) so that it works with kernel_task in 64 bit mode. I've got XP, Linux, and Linux64 VMs setup. I've been waiting for Parallels 5.0 to come out so …

The funny thing, IMO, is that the article mentions a "flagship" Apple Store that has less than half the square footage of the ad.

It's a bit annoying that Tim Cook quickly dismissed all of the iPhone's competition. I am certainly interested in how the Droid will turn out. More to the point, I'm interested in how the Android platform will fare. Or WebOS. Frankly, as a phone,…

What would be funny to me is if Apple came up with the specific documentation on their Ethernet chipset to show that all the technology used on it is already licensed from 3Com or other appropriate companies. eg, if the chipset was made by Intel …

http://www.google.com/patents/about?...J&dq=7,508,789 As you can see, it was applied for in 2007. There is a huge amount of prior art. How the USPTO came to grant this patent is truly amazing. At least the information is there to know who …
