I use wireless on my university campus all the time and it isn't airport based. All you have to do is enter the network name and your airport card should access it. I love being able to access the network in a few different buildings on campus.

It's what I would buy if I didn't want the power of a G4. The Ti is nice but an iBook with a G4 would be perfect for me. As it stands now I get to keep saving until I can afford a Ti.
