How about an iPad that can dual boot? When it is in its docking shell with a keyboard and track pad it can boot into OS X, when it is taken out it boots into iOS. When docked they could make the OS X partition sync with iOS. Or maybe the switching…

I think I'm with you on the whole border idea. We just need a frame fabricated so we can cover up the ugly part when the whole glass is removed. seems like it should be easy enough make something like that which could be sold for $40-$50 tops.
