Hm, they changed the page. The original figure showed a ring of corded earbuds, with some of them flying away. No, Bluetooth would make no sense in a Nano, but it would in the full-size iPod.

They haven't allowed third-party apps on the iPod from the beginning. Doubtful that will ever change.

Sorry for the double post. I realized after reading another thread that they don't have to have Intel in the logo. Since they want people to make Universal Binaries, they can simply make a special logo for Universal Binaries and that will take care …

Well now, in another thread I pointed out that Apple does need to make the processor architecture very obvious to prevent consumer confusion. They need a very simple moniker so consumers know which software they can buy. If they say "iBook Centrino …

I think "Intel" has to be in the name somewhere, probably in the form of the new Intel logo, for a very simple reason: Preventing consumer confusion. Joe 6-Pack has to know which software he can buy that will work. If he buys Unreal Tournament fo…

Intel does make very good quality motherboards. And Mel is right about the stickers, the sooner you take them off, the better. There are also some tricks like using a piece of masking tape to pull off residual glue, etc. (Do NOT use a rubber pencil …

Fantasy. When the machines come out and have completely generic hardware and Intel stickers on the outside, you'll realize that it is software, and software alone, that makes a Mac.

Interesting machine. Neatest part to me is where you can connect an Ethernet cable and play files off a server - no need to burn them to a disc at all.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. This transition is all about Apple joining the mainstream. Apple hardware will be just like everyone else's.

I wonder if faster 970 chips will ever be available for upgrades? For example, change your single 1.6 to a dual-core? Will IBM keep producing their 970-based blade servers, or have they wholly gone to the Opteron? How about this question: Supp…
