5GB might be enough for most people's music collections. But if you add in, say, an emergency System installation, that number starts to seem a little small. I'll prollably bite at 10GB.

[quote]Originally posted by sjpsu: Portability A 12.1" TiBook's form factor would be smaller and lighter than an iBook's. OK, but thats why I proposed that a G4 be put in the iBook's case and a sub-notebook be introduced with a fast G3.

How would a 12" TiBook be different from a G4 iBook? I would like to see:10" G3 700 Mhz 12" G4 700 MHz (current iBook case) 15.1" G4 800 Mhz (current TiBook case) With the usually BTO options, we could please almost everyone, no?

IIRC, DVDRW is physically possible on the SuperDrive and Mac OS X 10.2 will unlock this feature.

My best guess (unless Apple changes the TiBook's design from slot-loading to tray) would be MWNY 2003. It might make a great addition to a G5 PowerBook.

I second that. Sure, menu building, etc. in OS X might be a little slow. But I rarely use them. X gives me power I never knew I needed. I can crunch RC5, listen to MP3s, program Java in emacs, surf the web, talk on aim (with an awsome client, Adi…

I think theres something else going on. Anyone read the slashdot comments on the 1 GHz ? Those geeks were salivating over those machines. Mac OS X (basically) is Linux on the desktop. Its even partially open source. I think a large portion of…

I don't see why they wouldn't do a MP config. I'd be first in line to get one (assuming I had the money )

Considering how long it took them to get a combo drive in there, I don't see how they're gonna get a Superdrive in there anytime soon. I don't the the TiBook's case can even handle a tray-loading drive. Better graphics are an option. But look how…
