I'd be more excited to hear about processing speed and RAM improvements. Video editing on the iPhone is pretty cool, but I can't see myself using it much at all (video chat, on the other hand, would be stellar). Would much rather Apple go for the bu…

All I know is that I'll be watching the model numbers from whatever gets announced this summer with great interest. If they're working on iPhone 3,1 already at this early date I'd feel mighty leery about picking up an iPhone 2,1.

Really, now that Apple has covered just about every single feature that they lacked and other smartphones didnt (MMS, c&p, et cetera), there's not much left to improve upon. Off the top of my head, the remaining common asked for features fall…

I don't have a problem with "mouse distance" but I do think it's silly not to have tabs right below the bookmarks bar - I always felt it was most intuitive to have "sites i'm visiting right now" directly adjacent to "bookmarked sites" - but now the …

I don't like the sound of what is essentially just a screen density, capacity, and camera upgrade. The iPhone's screen is already quite dense and nice looking. 32GB is a given, and yes video needs to happen (as does 2.3 or 3 megapixels IMHO), but re…

Apple really ought to buy Inquisitor - that'd make a great addition to Safari.

"Their" is not the same as "they're" - sorry to be a grammar Nazi, just noticed that mistake in the opening sentence.

The Far East? Isn't that in the same region as the Mysterious Orient?

Sideways-oriented keyboard and mail searching would pretty much round out the last few things I'm looking for out of this.

I'm fine with a slightly closed system as long as I can get an iChat client that uses the data connection instead of SMS. If Apple doesn't supply that, I'll hold off buying an iPhone until it does. Or jailbreak the probable 32GB 3G model.

As some other rumor/news site noted, Japan doesn't have an EDGE network, so they'd need a 3G iPhone for this to work.

I have been having this issue. So how can I get Apple to replace just my graphics card, instead of the whole computer? I shouldn't have to buy a 500GB hard drive and back up all my things just to get a working computer.

Very interesting. I never thought there could be a proper compromise between tactile feedback and multitouch/display keyboard. I don't see this tech happening for a long time, and it'd take some adjustment since I don't look at my keys when I type, …

Is this only related to certain apps? Because I haven't had this problem whatsoever with my new 24" iMac, though I haven't done much 3D stuff outside of Boot Camp gaming.

I know there'd be a backlash, but frankly I'd love it if 10.6 was Intel only if it meant a really tight kernel rewrite. Also a Finder that doesn't choke on network shares. I am really quite happy with the Finder feature-wise at this point - those tw…

As soon as there's a 3G, GPS, video-recording, 32GB iPhone, I'm buying one. That's looking like late 2008 right now, so I'll have to wait, but when it does come I'll be able to use it for almost everything I do.

Bear in mind that Apple only makes a substantial update to Mac OS X every two or three years at the current rate. They can keep going a number of years at this rate - in fact, since Mac OS X is making it into all of the iPods, the AppleTV, and the i…
