Congrats on the new PowerBook! Sounds like a great model (with the upgraded hard drive and graphics card). I'm slowly turning green here, people... These new PowerBook (and iBooks) are really tight.

My latest (as of Sunday) set up, featuring nice new Stockholm series desk from Target And an alternate version for any Gibson fans present.

As if. Looks like somebody could lighten up a bit and take things in the spirit. Attitude is fine. Just commenting on the look. Sorry if you're a fan or something. I watch the show quite a bit and some of their makeovers come out really…

Nothing earthshattering (are they ever?), but nice to see something new and different...real people, walking around a real world, etc. Nice departure from the sterile white room stuff from a few years ago and not as annoying as the dancing silhouett…

I always imagined they'd eventually (since it wasn't there from the start, like I hoped it would be) do more of that on-the-spot upgrading/tricking-out stuff. Roll it into the Genius Bar (Monster Bar? ) where you can custom configure a machine, …

Dork. You could've had it by now, Mr. Cancel.

If I had about $4,000 burning a hole in my pocket, I'd get the tricked out 15" I talk about above (128MB graphics and 5400rpm drive) AND the 20" Cinema Display. And never leave the house...

I completely agree with the previous post, Messiahtosh. Given your interests (and the fact that you've mentioned this PowerBook seeing you all - or most - of the way through college, I liked your approach of going balls-out and getting that 15" with…

I don't live my life by - and I make it a point to completely ignore - two types of people: Spec Whores and financial/analyst types (sometimes they're one in the same). When it comes to Apple and Macs (and my enjoyment, appreciation and ownership…

Quote: Originally posted by Brad On top of this, who outside of professional designers will be purchasing fonts? Does that matter? Last I looked, plenty of Mac users and Apple customers WERE "professional designers". Maybe they'd appreciate this…

I called this back in the early winter: it'll be a dud/flop (search the archives, because I said it here). Just no appeal, whatsoever. Stupid commercial, stupid concept. Surly kids that you can't feel sorry for (they BROKE THE LAW...screw 'em…

Well they do include crop marks for accurately cutting to size and all...as though they've thought long and hard about it. But it's just a goofy size...a good .5" short each way, to be really useful. Why make something so blatantly smaller t…

1. 1.25GHz 15" SuperDrive aluminum PowerBook, bought last October 24 (the night of the Panther rollout) at the Atlanta Lenox Mall Apple Store. I saved and bought it (selling 15" G4 iMac certainly helped). 2. iMac DV (400MHz, tangerine) that I bou…

I've had my Creature II speakers for several months now and am VERY happy with them...loud when they need to be, bassy and clear. And you can't beat the look, especially the white ones which look GREAT with my iPod. And the Creature II series all ha…

Yes, perhaps simply rolled into the app that makes the most sense (FontBook could simply have a "buy fonts" or "Font Store" button, like iTunes does for music). That probably makes more sense....built directly into the app that is made to work wi…

Nothing to do with that kind of stuff. Just a simple, legit question. This time a year ago, we wouldn't have imagined buying music as easily as we do, so don't get obnoxious and dismissive about it... I've learned to never say "never" whe…
