  • After some proper testing it appears that the problem is getting worse. Both soft and hard resets are not working unless i pull the power cable as well. After reconfiguring the BS i get between 10 and 120 seconds network connectivity and then it …

  • Performance wise i know what you mean. I use mine with my 12"pb and surfing performance is worse than a 56k modem. Added to this the fact that it regularly hangs copying large (500M+) files. And randomly drops off of the network, requiring a reset. …

  • How the hell does it manage this ?... i've just created a directory "" using finder and you can use it as usual. But if you try doing that in terminal it fails because < and > have reserved system meanings. Unless you prefix the with \\ eg mkd…
  • Confused myself ... not difficult. i was thinking of meta characters eg. ; & ( ) | < > and : isn't included. i've done a few tests on varying flavours of unix and it doesn't seem to care about a : in the filename.…
  • i think it is a unix reserved character thing. i'm just looking around to see what its used for. the .filename signifies a hidden file, well hidden from the ls command but not curiously from the ls -al subset. Again a bsd unix standard from way b…
  • ok thanks guy's. i'll give these a look. my web coding skills are minimal so i'll probably end up using dw. i'm sure its not rocket science... but i spend most of my days at work hacking unix code about so i think, for a break, i'll give this new fa…
