Since the Intel Pentium 4 HT, or whatever it is called, was recently released, I would expect that more multi-thread apps will be developed on the PC side, stimulating developement of good Mac software out of formerly PC only developers. For example…

The 17" will be out for 4 months tops. Then it will most likely be updated with the introduction of the 15" Aluminum PB.
-
The PB 12" isn't gonna be updated for another 5months at least, I hope you know ...please L3, please!

I don't know...a minibook (small iBook, not small PB) would be nice on two conditions: It doesn't cost a billion bucks, and that it doesn't drop too many features. Yes I do want one!
-
And the 14" screen resolution should increase. It is cheap to have the same # of pixels.
-
The iBook is in a strange place now. It can't have more than 32 MB of VRAM, because that would exceed the 12" PB. It can't have a 1 ghz processor, because that is faster then the mini PB.

Oh. Sorry. I don't hang around in the Consumer section of Apple that much. Now that you say it, that makes sense. My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.My bad.

Backlit keyboard? Now don't you wish. That is something that the 12" powerbook doesn't have. Bluetooth and Airport X? Definitely. G4? I highly doubt it. 133mhz bus? Doubtful, but maybe on the hi-end. It will be interesting to see whether Apple moves …

With Dell's Axim, the time is right. knowing how Apple squeezed a G4, DVD-R drive, awesome screen, and 1gb of ram into a 1" thick case, I think that Apple could squeeze a G3 and iPod drive into a slightly bigger than a Tungsten package. As for a Son…

What about the Tungsten W? The input on that is at least 30 word per minute once you get the hange of it. Graphiti and inkwell, on the other hand, are 30 lettersa minute.

Well, he might not call it a PDA, but he will release something that most people consider to be one.

The iPod is gradually evolving into a basic Palm. Look: first you could store contacts, then calender info, and now we can just wonder.
-
You don't have toprovide 4 gigs...most people will end up with a quarter of that.
-
Would the RAM to be used by the 970 be proprietary to the 970? Would manufacturers like Crucial make the RAM? Or would it be made by IBM only? And there isnothingprohibitive about having a high max-RAM capacity. How many people actually have 2 g…

If Apple gets out of the low-end 64-bit gate first, coupled with its Unix core, it will succeed. No more question.

One question,Lemon Bon Bon...Why is your signture longer than most of your posts? And why do you double space your posts?

Ah, the French...they have always had a sixth sense on wine, sex, and Apple product releases...

I think that Apple, if they have chosen or will choose the PPC 970, will want to have the Powermac 970 ready to ship as soon as the chips start rolling out of the factory. It would be stupid for Apple to release 2 more G4 semi-upgrades. Apple would …

No. I don't think that they did. They just added more fans to accomodate the G4 processor.
