People are concentrating their attacks on Apple because they know there's no way in hell that Acer, Amazon, ASRock, Asus, Barnes & Noble, Cisco, Dell, EVGA Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Motorola, Netgear, Nint…

"Perceived inability to compete", indeed. Sort of like how bricks have a "perceived inability to float in the air".

So this pretty much confirms we will see an Apple television release in Q2 2012.

"despite tripling Kindle sales during the holiday season" "the company is losing anywhere from $5 to $10 on each Fire it sells" So not really despite, more like because of.

Dinosaur production companies like these are the least likely to be able to adapt their workflow to changing times. They'll all be gone eventually in favor of more streamlined approaches. Apple is playing the long game here.

I don't see that this is particularly better than AirPlay mirroring. I guess it'd be a bit useful if you don't have a device that can do that, but it seems like a lot of trouble for not a lot of benefit.

Seems to fix the problem I was having of starting AirPlay audio when the Apple TV was asleep. The Apple TV would wake up, but it displayed Unknown for Song, Artist, and Album, and wouldn't play. Looks like it's working after this update.

It's pretty obvious that DoCoMo is just a front for the Judoon.

What the guy says in the article is actually much more moderate and articulate than the lousy headline would imply.

So, because there's a potential flaw, the entire plan should be dumped? If that's the standard that is to be applied, no software would ever be written at all. In any case, just because Apple hasn't done something according to some 3rd party's timel…

You know the best way to "bypass" Apple's patents? Don't slavishly copy their phone. I don't think that's what's happening here; they're just tossing out the part of the copy where they got caught.

These record-breaking sales are different than my clueless expectations! Apple is doomed, DOOMED I say!

So Apple built their massive new data center for what, exactly? Oh yeah, for hosting iCloud. Still, I can hardly blame Microsoft and Amazon for making a ludicrous attempt to grab some glory on their way out of the limelight. Why AppleInsider is repo…

Downloading to a temporary cache with an instant start IS streaming. To say otherwise is deeply ignorant of the way streaming works. This is what Pandora does when it streams music. This is what YouTube does when it streams video. This is the way st…

That fake Apple store seems to have something wrong with its gravity.

Lolwut? Like web apps are somehow new, and are somehow a threat to iOS native apps. Anyway, if this framework will be as riddled with security and privacy problems as Facebook's own platform, no thanks.

Amazon should have gone with The AmaZappStore. Crap name for crap content.

To summarize: Multi-mega-media-conglomerates that have a choke-hold over global information publishing say to Apple, "you need to bend over and take it in the ass so we can monetize your efforts straight into our wallets, or we'll sue you for anti-t…
