It may be new. There was a single 1.8 before a dual 1.8. It won't be listed at Apple.com anymore but some resellers may not have sold them yet.

Does it not turn on at all? There should be enough power to turn it on and hold the mouse button for a few seconds.. that ejects the disk.

actually.. i can't get mine to work with anything accept my iPod and my Macs... radio.. CD player.. all don't work. Power Mac and iMac work great.
