  • Review: Adonit Note is an affordable Apple Pencil alternative

AI actually there are two prices for the two apple pencils

Pencil 1st gen $99 (or $85 apple refurb)
    Pencil 2nd gen is $129

So for just $50 more Pencil 1st Gen is better with its Lightning charging and pressure sensitivity.
‘Just $50 more’ is double the price of the Note. The more likely comparison is to the Logitech Crayon, which offers lightning charging, but not pressure for a similar price (currently $50 on Amazon). The Apple Pencil has pressure sensitivity, and lightning charging, but the Logitech Pencil does charging and battery management better. The Apple Pencil 1 will slowly run it’s battery down and needs to be plugged into an iPad to ‘pair’, while the Logitech shuts itself off after a few minutes and can switch to any compatible iPad with just a tap.

  • iPad wins again, Google cancels upcoming tablet products

Uhm, this is the opposite of a win!  The secret to great products is great competition - losing an adversary doesn't translate into a great win.  This is a pity and the battle moves squarely to Microsoft and its Surface line - who would have thought?
The title says ‘iPad wins again,” but your argument is that reduced competition may turn out to be a loss for consumers. You may be right, but that doesn’t contradict the title. This is a win for Apple and the iPad team.

  • Developers sue Apple over $99 annual fee, mandatory pricing increments of $0.99

Not the point.  Apple has a monopoly over app distribution and the 30% piece of the pie is what is the "profit killer".  Not many businesses can take a 30% cut on profit. They do not have a monopoly over app distribution. There are plenty of places to distribute your apps. Maybe you mean they have a “monopoly’ over distribution in their own App Store? But that’s the case for every store out there. Walmart, Target, your local grocery store. They all get to decide what they will and won’t sell in the store, and they are far more restrictive than Apple at allowing companies to sell products and set prices in their stores. I’d also wager that the markups are greater than 30%.
