  • The biggest features missing from Final Cut Pro for iPad at launch

I think most of these concerns will be addressed over (a short period) of time. It is unrealistic to expect that all third party plug-ins and first party transitions, fonts, etc., will be available from day one.

The projected idea behind subscription models is continuous development and frequent new features. I think the subscription model will be an incentive to Apple to ensure that features are regularly added and updated.

I am on the fence, mainly because I do video editing just for fun. The subscription model made me think twice before buying FCP. However, I will try it out for a month and if it makes sense for me, I'll go ahead and subscribe.

The big news is that FCP and Logic Pro are finally available on the iPad! All initial kinks will be ironed out soon enough.

  • WB's rebranded Max app launch has some issues on Apple TV

It is absurd how many streaming apps have absolutely horrible controls and UI. There are a couple of apps I have where I do not dare to rewind or fast forward the video by 10 seconds because it is so cumbersome.

WB continues to be a shit show, which is a pity because I love a lot of the stuff they've produced.

Why does this sight keep using a render of snorkelling goggles to show “a render of potiential Apple headset?” This was the first image ever posted about the upcoming headset, years ago and it is ridiculous. If apple releases a headset like this, fish everywhere will be using VR!
I agree…this render is almost a meme by now. But it’s not just here. Every article or blog post out there are using the same 1-2 images. Search “Augmented Reality” in Apple News, select the Top Result and scroll down to see what I mean.
I think the render here was specifically commissioned by AppleInsider.

  • TikTok users take legal action against Montana over controversial ban

I am curious about how a state-wide ban is implemented/ enforced. Does the ban mean no one in Montana can use TikTok and that it should not be installed on their phones, or does it mean that no content can be uploaded onto TikTok from Montana?
What about visitors? Do they need to delete TikTok before entering the state?

  • Bob Iger says his return to Disney was inspired by Steve Jobs' Apple recovery

Hearing Iger comparing himself to Steve Jobs. Really? That's like if Donald Trump compared himself to Abraham Lincoln. Multiple times. Oh, wait a minute…
    Think before you write.

Iger did not compare himself to Steve, he says he was “inspired by” him and “looked to” his example for guidance and the lessons he’s using to manage his return (in “very different circumstances”).

Which is an example of why Iger is a respected leader.

I don’t believe that Donald Trump has ever looked to anyone for lessons or inspiration. He doesn’t need it. He’s the best at everything and the best that has ever existed. (That’s why he’s so insecure and has no compass.) And if you don’t agree that he is the best, you’re a liar and a scoundrel and politically motivated and probably a RINO.

If you want to make a Donald comparison, consider Donald Duck telling Mickey Mouse that ‘no, you were not Walt’s favorite,” and that it is HE, Donald, that is the most cartoonish… The best cartoonish character ever in history.
But Donald Duck is funnier and more cartoonish than Mickey Mouse!
