Apple's Magic Mouse charging port design has never been a big deal
Nope @WilliamGallagher is correct. I’ve being using a Magic Mouse for as long as I can remember. Certainly since at least 2016 so over 8 years and it has never run out of power. I just plug it in every few weeks.
If you don’t like it, buy a different mouse

Surely what matters in all of this is the failure rate. I’ve owned 3 pairs, Original, Pro and Pro 2. All of them still work for various members of my family.If they last that long who cares if you can’t repair them if and when they fail.
