South Korea threatens to fine Apple over App Store dominance
For those saying this is to protect Samsung. Samsung phones for the most part use Android and I would assume the Play Store is predominant even on Samsung phones and Google is being accused as well as Apple and their proposed fine is more than twice the Apple one. So I’m not sure how this is protecting Samsung. This is what happens when bureaucrats have jobs and nothing to do. They make up things to investigate and fine people for so it makes them look important and justifies their jobs. (Only half said tongue in cheek). -

Apple Wallet's Connected Accounts may come to the US
I don’t know the details but there have long been intercommunication protocols and APIs in the US for this sort of thing. My credit unions already let me link external accounts to their online offering so I can get the balances etc of my accounts at other non related credit unions and banks when I log into my main one.Don’t know how it works or how reliable it is but this sort of base functionality already exists. -

Apple's 'Mother Nature' sketch was a complete dud, and didn't belong in the iPhone 15 even...
I’d like to point out that it is not illegal for anyone to write a skit. Or a TV show. Or a movie. There is no law that makes the SAG or the writers union the arbiter on what is legal (or against the law).Writing a skit, TV show, or movie may make you a so-called “scab” or strike breaker or whatever but it is not illegal. Illegal means it is against the law of the land
