Apple's iPhone 13 is significantly faster than Samsung's latest Galaxy S22
Want to know just how bad the new Exynos and Snapdragon are?
They're on the latest 4nm node. They’re using the latest & greatest ARM cores (X2, A710, A510). The stars have aligned letting them have all the best possible technology available together at the same time.
And they still get trounced by the A15. In fact, the A14 easily beats them both and the A13 offers about 95% of the performance.

Coalition for App Fairness profile reveals organizational efforts against Apple
They are a joke. I stopped commenting on their Twitter posts (which are just the same drivel repeated over & over). I think there have only ever been 4-5 people whoever bothered to comment (including me). I’m sure they think I’m a stalker for being a regular commenter. Their like/repost counts are always in the single digits.
Short story? Their Twitter account is irrelevant. I can’t imagine their coalition having too much influence (outside of their own delusions). -

Apple sues NSO Group over Pegasus iPhone spyware
lkrupp said:If my understanding of this software is correct, Pegasus can attack iOS remotely without the user doing anything. The bigger question is why Apple has not been able to put a stop to it. Is there something about Pegasus and iOS that Apple can’t fix?Apple already patched the last version.
The problem is these are unknown exploits. Nobody is telling Apple about them so they are unaware of their existence.
With the most recent example, Apple was able to patch within one week once they had access to data from an infected device. That took several months. -
Apple to pursue copyright claims against Corellium in appellate court
gatorguy said:One day after Corellium announces they will sponsor research into the new on-iPhone CSAM initiative and the security and privacy behind it? Huh.
Apple is the one who has made it possible for third parties to do this research and perform audits on their CSAM system, not Corellium.
Apple appealing this case does nothing to hamper the countless other researchers who will no doubt also be looking into how CSAM scanning works.
The most reasonable explanation is there’s a time limit on the appeal or some other procedural
matter that happened to coincide with this announcement. Or, more likely, Corelliums lawyers knew there was a deadline and made their announcement to coincide with it to try and make Apple look petty.
But hey, you do you.Updated: Knew it. The final judgement was only just published today (December was a summary judgment) so the timing has nothing to do with Corellium and everything to do with the final judgement.
