  • EU finalizes charger rule forcing USB-C on iPhones in 2024

"We all have at least three mobile phone chargers at home. Looking for the right charger, either at home or at work, can be quite annoying," said Minister for Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela.
Why does he have 3 different mobile phone chargers?  Has he just been buying Samsung crap?  We use only wireless to charge all of our Apple products already.  Yes, we have cables in the car if needed, but rarely do we need them at all.  Can't even remember the last time we used them.  Our next vehicle will have wireless charging as well.

  • Apple's iPhone 15 will be first with USB-C, claims Kuo

Those of us that have switched over to completely wireless couldn't care less what port is on the iPhone.  We haven't touched ours in 2 years.

  • Peloton's new Apple Watch integration encourages users to 'close your rings'

Wasn't GymKit part of the Bike+ value proposition? What can you do with Bike+ that you cannot do with the regular Bike (in terms of apple health / workouts integration)?
The older Bike software doesn't support any integration with the Apple Watch.  You can go into the watch a track an indoor bike cycle workout, but it doesn't talk to the bike.  I've been complaining about that for months, and will have to see if this really works.  We bought our Peloton over 4 years ago, and we're not willing to spend the money for Bike+.

  • Leaked plan shows Intel will try to be more efficient than M1 Max by late 2023

Well, one thing that everyone here seems to be ignoring, is that no matter what Intel does, Apple is NEVER going to use their CPUs again.  Yes, the Wintel group will benefit from the better performance, but not one single Mac by that time will ever have an Intel chip in it.

  • German firms claim Google Chrome blocking cookies is illegal

OK, interesting point of view. How about putting it to a vote instead of just representing the interests of big business? Ask the people how many of them want all cookies blocked and how many want a choice.
Because businesses know that they would lose a vote if it came down to that.  I always block ads and cookies wherever possible.
