  • 'Price is Right' contestants nowhere close to Apple Vision Pro's astronomical price

Or it is not a device for average consumers.
Exactly like the laptop was not an average consumer device when it was $3500, or even $2500 of the first “mainstream” models.
Um… remember the GRiD Compass, from 1982?  One of those would have set you back over $8000.
Accounting for inflation, that’s equivalent to $27,000 today.

  • Inside Apple TV 4K -- the best addition to your TV set

You just may get a bit bored of having to enter your password over and over since there's no Touch ID or Face ID.”

This statement is untrue for the US, if you’re using the Remote app on your relatively recent iPhone with Face ID and Wallet enabled.  Purchases are handled just like Apple Pay, with a quick face scan and side double-tap.

  • iPad updated with A16 chip, still lacks Apple Intelligence

Apple is still also selling its first generation Apple Pencil as an optional accessory with this new 10th gen (11th gen) iPad. The first gen Apple Pencil pairs and charges via a lightning connector, but this iPad has USB C - so nobody will be able to pair it with this 2025 iPad! The second gen Apple Pencil with USB C, which is cheaper than the OG Apple Pencil, is the only viable pencil accessory. Sometimes, you must wonder what is going on in the minds of Apple’s product teams. 😆
Actually, Apple has a USB-C (male) to Lightning (female) dongle that fills the bill, in the event retailers have only the 1st gen Pencil in stock.  Yes, the dongle is breathtakingly priced… but desperate folk cope nonetheless.

  • RIP Touch Bar -- Apple sends the 13-inch MacBook Pro to the grave

The Touch Bar on my ‘19 NBP still gets love from me - though I loved it more when you could still, say, drag the volume tool continuously, as opposed to the incremental taps it was eventually dumbed-down to.  I do like that system dialog responses are still available there.
Sooner or later I’ll move on, but it will be a wistfully.

  • Apple plans to update iPhones in-store without opening the boxes

Honestly, I'd heard casual references to this process years ago in an Apple store... by an employee (undoubtably no longer working there).  Back when I bought an 11 Pro.  They were like, "yeah, we can update the software while it's still in the box".

Just because it was new to Gurman doesn't mean it was truly new.  Perhaps it's the device itself that's newsworthy here?
