  • Apple's redesigned iPad Air sports 10.9-inch display, A14 Bionic chip

So, I just bout a 11” iPad Pro a few days ago (still unopened). What distinguishes the product lines now?  Makes
    no sense.
Pro offers a (slightly) larger screen and larger storage capacities (and a higher price).  Yeah, the Air eats the Pro's lunch.
I thought the Pros offered higher brightness, too.  (Maybe I’m conflating that with the laptop lines.)

  • Review: Button Remote for Apple TV makes entertainment simple again

No mention of battery configuration... sealed rechargeable, or throwaways?

I guess it’ll work for folks with 6”-8” long double-jointed thumbs, or who don’t mind endlessly shuffling the device up and down in their palm, or who don’t mind using two hands..

  • New iPhone privacy ad takes shots at other smartphones oversharing information

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, isn't it? When it comes to Security and Privacy, the End User of the technology has been the weakest link in most of the cases, than the gadget having whatever technology. Wouldn't this advertisement be giving the Apple users a false sense of security and leading to ignorant users shooting themselves in the foot? Even with iOS 14 privacy features, an iPhone owner using Facebook actively is going to give away lot more personal information than an $100 Android phone user not using Facebook, isn't it?

While Apple has definitely built a far superior system with respect to privacy than anything else that is available, they would be doing injustice to their users if they give a false sense of security. They should continue to highlight the need for end users to stay alert always.

I would hope this ad will prompt viewers to think more about data privacy issues, not lull them to sleep.

  • Apple TV with faster processor, 'Find My Remote' tech could launch in 2021

Now I have a silicone case that makes it altogether better.
This.  I think I paid a little more than $10 for each of mine.  Transformed them from irritating to great.

So I’ve really been thinking of getting an Apple TV for, I assume, a much better user experience. Yeah, nah?
    Over here... yeah.

Right now, I own 3 ATVs, 1 is HD, the other 2 are 4K.  All are connected to HD TVs, one of which is a fairly recent LG.

I’ve never owned another streamer, so take this with a grain of salt... but it is night-and-day compared to any embedded apps in my LG (WebOS) or Blu Ray players.  Actually I take it back, I experimented with a FireStick 4K which was gifted to me, new in box.  I quit trying to make it work after a couple of hours, pretty miserable in comparison.

Assuming you have the network bandwidth to support it, the ATVs are just so smooth in operation.  Apple’s apps in particular are just great.  The best non-native apps I’ve used so far are Disney+ and HBOMax.  Those guys really did their homework.  YouTube is also well-behaved.

Occasionally I’ll experience a glitch with Hulu, Prime, and miscellaneous “freebies” that require a hardware restart to clear up.  But it’s not often, maybe once a month at most.
