I love Gold aluminum. So I bought the last model that had that color - 44mm Series 6 - the last week it was still for sale. Then in the last year I found a Chinese firm which makes Gold covers for all models. But I still think the Ultra is too gigantic. So I’m excited to be able to buy a reasonably thinner big screen model in September. And if they still don’t resume selling Gold aluminum, I’ll buy Starlight and snap on a gold cover from China.

I can use VOIP with the same Magicjack account I use on my iPhone 15 Pro Max on my iPad mini 6 but not at the same time. I limit my use of VOIP to WiFi only so that combined with my $2.50 a month Red Pocket T-Mobile account keeps my iPhone service down to $30 a year plus the Magicjack account which I can also use on the iPad mini for about $10 a year.

But now that iPhones use USB-C I plan to upgrade my iPhone every year to the top of the line model.

I’d like to see them graduate to LiPo4 batteries ASAP. Thus eliminating the chance of fires.

I recently purchased the RingConn to better track my sleep. While I use a Series 6 Apple Watch to measure my exercises, I turn it off between sessions so I don’t have to charge it daily. I like the RingConn because i can leave it in Airplane Mode all the time to avoid Bluetooth Pollution to my body. Then each morning I place it in the recharge case, turn on Bluetooth just long enough to synchronize the new sleep data then turn the Airplane Mode back on and put the ring back on my finger. Hope if Apple does come out with a ring they implement this sort of non Bluetooth Mode for our bodies to stay Bluetooth free as much as possible. Bad enough needing Bluetooth from the watch when it’s on. Also, unlike Oura, RingConn is a subscription free ring.

The price is really about $5k. While I could afford it, I’m not interested in paying that much to be part of an experiment. I prefer my 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max and 2TB M1 13” iPad and no MacBook. I use a base M2 Pro Mac mini for zoom and TV second and third channels next to a 65” 2022 QD-OLED SONY A95K TV with Cable, Roku and Apple TV options. That’s it.

I’m probably too old (77) to understand the attraction of AVP.
