This right here is why I’m a bit confused. Apple licenses the technology from these two companies and then is found guilty of infringement on technology that isn’t theirs.

I would be very grateful if someone would be able to explain this one.  Is it because of How Apple has implemented it into their devices?

Except for the 2021 Academy Awards, from reading the article it seems like Greyhound “should” be able to be nominated.

I’ve lived in Germany now for the past year and I’ve enjoyed it very much. My only complaint this far is that Germans don’t seem to use credit/debit cards for most things based upon their history. Cash is still king, larger stores may take cards but there has been many times where I walk into stores and they don’t take card nor NFC.  NFC as a payment method seems to be lagging behind other European countries, not sure if this due to banks slowing down progress but from articles I’ve read this far that seems to be it.

It’s the same as BMW charging you $200 to upgrade your GPS maps.  It’s just now it has more visibility because it is CarPlay. If it wasn’t no one would care as usual.

They can't.  Apple pulled out all of its stores in Texas' Eastern District, possibly to prevent patent trolls from using the patentholder-biased courts there.

(in other words-- they moved the Stonebriar and Willow Bend Apple stores to a new store in the NORTHERN District of Texas so they don't have any businesses in the Eastern District.)

I do remember hearing about this, thanks for the reminder though. Myself like many others I’m sure have been sick of the Eastern District of Texas Courts/Juries. I just wonder where the new Patent Troll friendly court will pop up.
