Apple plans new 16- to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 aimed at pro designers

My bet is that the mainstream laptop market is or will soon be a shrinking ice cube. The new iPad Pro and iOS still are not a replacement for a laptop, but are getting closer. I really think Apple is missing an opportunity by not making a Surface like device that has full file access based on either Mac OS or iOS.
It is still early days with the Surface Pro, but there is a lot to like. My i5 Surface Pro (6) cost less than my iPad Pro- quite a bit less. The power adapter set up is sucky, but the unit is very nice and boots faster than any Mac or iPad I have seen. -
Italy forces iPhone battery throttling notice posting on Apple's Italian homepage
Ridiculous. But I somewhat like the crisp contrast between the ugly piece of paper coming from the court and the beauty of Apple's website. One has simply to take a look and to choose his/her side. Kudos to the executive who decided to post that order in the original form.As an Italian iPhone owner, and longtime Apple user, I find today another reason to be ashamed for our government's behaviour. -
iPhone replacement cycles slowing down to four years, pose threat to services, analyst say...
Not true IMHO. Again, it's the software that sells the hardware, not vice versa.
In my family we have four iPhones, many Macs, tv, iPads. Half of them are 4+ years old and we are happy with that.
We are still spending a lot in services – Music, Movies, software. And we will update our devices as soon as the availability – or the smoothness – of the services will require it. -
