  • Apple releases macOS Mojave with Dark Mode, Stacks, eGPU improvements, and more

Unless something has changed from the betas ...  Beware if you are thinking of trying it with a back up to revert to from Carbon Copy Cloner or the like if your Photos library is on an external drive.  Your Photos Library will get updated and it is a one-way trip.  So make sure the Photos Library is off line or backed up too if you think there is the slightest chance you may revert to High Sierra.
Beware also that CCC will ask for an update. I had version 4, it forced me to update to a trial Version 5 – will upgrade to 5 at a discounted rate. It is working fine in trial mode though.

  • iOS 12 'doubles down' on performance for iPhone and iPad

Speed improvements are real and noticeable on my iPhone 6 testing unit. This alone is a good news.

  • Apple lets public test iPhone Battery Health setting in iOS 11.3 beta 2, issues developers...

And all of a sudden, unexpected shutdowns are back.... as I’ve experienced with an iPhone 6 I’m using for testing purposes. It completely died while it was at about 3%. I guess all this nonsense batterygate will completely disappear as soon as people realize how useful are the automated settings they criticize.

  • Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad order delays fuel speculation about new model for iMac ...

I haven't seen anyone use a numeric keypad since the days of the IBM 029 keypunch.
Where is the demand coming for this?   For that matter, why hasn't the caps lock key also
have gone the way of the dodo bird?
As a professional InDesign user I couldn't live without the numeric pad: there sits the vast majority of custom made shortcuts that make my work shorter and, you know, profitable. Such a keyboard to me is just as needed as an external monitor, which in some way explains why I have three external monitors and.. uh, three keyboards, two of them extended - just in case one might fail :-)
