  • iOS 26 is here with Liquid Glass redesign, new Camera, and Apple Intelligence promises

It's a refreshed Aqua that we loved.

The difference though is that Liquid Glass is scalable and dynamic while the Aqua wasn't. It was static. It looked like 3D when in reality, it's not. The Liquid Glass provides a true 3D experience, reacting to motion and light.

  • Apple's Preview app rumored to be coming to iOS 26, iPadOS 26

"Time Machine - not needed outside of macOS so much as they need to introduce a version of iCloud backup for Macs. TM is practically abandonware at this point"

That is absolutely not true. I use TM - most of my user data is not stored in iCloud, only important docs and photos. If I install an update or an app that lead to data corruption, TM will revert back to older state much faster than iCloud can. iCloud does not provide true backup - you still have to install apps and register and so on.  With TM, that is not necessary.

rsync is another command that lets you back up but it cannot be used if the OS is corrupted. You would need to install OS again. rsync is ideal for backing up user data across many platforms over many types of protocols.

  • Trump 'Liberation Day' tariffs blocked by U.S. trade court

The SCOTUS will likely affirm the ruling by refusing to hear it because it's clear that what Trump did was a violation of law. The president cannot impose tariffs when no emergency laws are in effect. It has to be done with the Congress to decide what tariffs can be imposed or not.

  • Apple rumored to release iOS 26 at WWDC, instead of iOS 19

Yes, all software companies should release software based on the year, month, and day, just like MacOS 26.1.4.

When the year 2100 arrives, it will be known as macOS 126.1.4.

This approach is highly consistent, semantic, and clear.

While programmers implement this internally, we must also demonstrate it externally to avoid confusion among consumers regarding the version of software being used.
