  • Apple staring down possibility of new per-employee tax in Cupertino

The homelessness issue is complex but imposing tax head is not a solution. You cannot blame businesses for homeless people. I hope that tax head will be declared unconstitutional. Seattle is now gathering a lot of petitions to repeal the head tax.

  • The 2019 Mac Pro will be what Apple wants it to be, and it won't, and shouldn't, make ever...

I actually upgraded RAM after I bought the standard iMac to save money. I've done the same with all my PC's as well.

While it's true most of those machines don't get upgraded, it does not mean nobody does that. The upgrades are more common among those who own pros at home than those who use them at work.

Do you really think that companies will let users upgrade their company machines? No. That's not how it works. Companies OWN those machines, not users. Users have little say.

  • Video: Apple's 2018 iPad vs. 2017 iPad benchmark comparison

Still has only 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM!  Called Apple TS to make sure!
Stop obsessing over RAM. The RAM becomes less important as faster SSDs are approaching to the speed of RAM. RAM is used only for data that needs to be rapidly accessed, read, and written. We will NOT see doubling of RAM as quickly as it used to be because of SSD. When we had HDD, we definitely needed a lot of RAM because HDD was too slow for access. Again, let me emphasize that RAM requirements are not as crucial as it would be with HDD as long as you use high speed SSD.

I really can't wait until micro-LED can replace OLED. As far as OLED has come over the years and the clear benefits it has over LCD, it's still has some major weak points compared to LCD.
I wonder what's going on with micro-LED? I haven't really heard much since a few articles I read back in 2016 I believe.

It takes time. They already are testing them. I am definitely excited about microLED as it is super energy efficient and much way brighter than LCD or OLED. It's actually mind boggling how tiny they can get and yet manage to emit much more light. Imagine that each microLED bulb is only 1% of the entire pixel on your present iPhone display. Because it takes so little space, most of the pixel will be just deep black and once lit, will fill up the black pixel. You won't be able to perceive sub pixels.

  • Apple says wearables up 75 percent year-over-year in Q4, Watch up 50 percent vs. Q3

I am definitely not buying Apple Watch. I am going for FitBit Ionic. Apple lost a major customer. They can shed a tear for me.
