  • Apple's management doesn't want Nvidia support in macOS, and that's a bad sign for the Mac...

Bad sign my ass. That's a great sign and seeing as Nvidia has junk support with Metal and AMD works fantastically with Metal it's rather clear Apple will continue with AMD and it's push into 7nm/7nm+.

The upcoming Navi and its successor are two OEM designs Apple has early access to and I trust they know what is best for their Engineering Designs over Apple Insider.

  • Verizon to bundle Apple Music with top-tier unlimited plans starting Jan. 17

    Current Plan: Go Unlimited

Apple Music I pay to Apple.

In order to gain this access as part of a plan I have to upgrade to either BeyondUnlimited or AboveUnlimited.

beyondunlimited [their wording not mine]: $90/mo per line.

    gounlimited: $80/mo per line.

In short, who gives a frack? I already pay $9.99 for Apple Music.

I could careless about their effing tiered 4G LTE between plans--thanks FCC for effing us on Net Neutrality.

    I'll pass.

  • No, Apple's licensing of iTunes & AirPlay 2 isn't a 'strategy reversal' in any way

Apple Streaming will be like Netflix, but with the TV App access to other streaming services all-in-one as an option. Most likely they'll look at the notion of Amazon Prime and create a tiered structure within a revamped iCloud to provide other `services' that include the Streaming Service as part of the package.

  • AMD unveils Radeon 7 graphics card likely to appear in future pro Macs

The MI60 custom OEM ASIC will be in the Mac Pro. These are MI60 cut downs by 4 Computational Units (CU). They are a direct equivalent sans the professional drivers and focus being on Machine Learning.

Apple will never use Nvidia as Apple's focus runs in-line with AMD and its hardware. Apple develops the entire driver stack for AMD's cards. Dual 16GB HBM2 Vega 20s will be a beast, and at a far lower price point.

The RTX 2080 is slower than Vega II and over $100 more.

Google Stream is using the Vega II for its streaming data centers along with EPYC 2. It's a value proposition combo that Nvidia/Intel can't touch.

  • Blue preps professional-level Ember XLR condenser mic

No these aren't aimed at vocalists. As a vocalist the Encore live XLR condenser large diaphragm cardioid for $199 a piece is the entry level for vocalists on live stage.

Recording and you're baseline before the Rocket series is the Baby Bottle SL or it's skinny Bluebird/Spark brethren.

Unless I'm seeing an expansion of the high end Bottle Rocket besides more interchangeable caps and not a more accessible entry price than $1699 for Rocket Kit and $3450 for the cap kit 5 this is Logitech watering down a professional music company and trying to turn every gaming idiot into a cheap Podcaster.
