  • Apple Silicon M1 Macs do not support eGPUs

Maybe it was just an embarrassment to Apple to support external GPUs that had slower speeds than their internal one.
Well one of the main concerns was for most MacBooks, anything close to high end AMD GPUs wasn’t an option, we’ll just have to see how these perform to see if an eGPU option is really necessary (again, most pro users would save the eGPUs for the MacBook Pro or iMac or something that’s not today’s introduced Macs, so it’s a low bar).

  • Apple Silicon M1 Macs do not support eGPUs

Hmm, I guess this isn’t a surprise, but it is interesting all the Macs that don’t support discrete GPUs were the ones updated today, implying in the future they will either introduce a chip with a much better GPU or otherwise are still trying to work with AMD to maintain their graphics options in later models.

  • MagSafe 15W fast charging reportedly restricted to Apple 20W adapter

And this raises the question even more of why not include an AC adapter with the Magsafe, as now it is more than clear it is only intended for the specific charger that they sale.

  • Comparing AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon's unlimited 5G wireless plans for iPhone 12

All T-Mobile plans that customers have will have 5G automatically included and many of them are much cheaper(about $40-50 a line in most cases). Switching to T-Mobile years ago was a blessing.

  • Everything unveiled at Apple's iPhone 12 event - and what AppleInsider thought

Considering the announcements that replaced the original event in September, I have to wonder if they were planned for all the same event. Surely they planned on at least announcing the first new Mac even if it doesn’t come out until January.(now wondering just when it will be).

On the subject of the iPhones, 4 models seems really unnecessary since the iPhone 12 has anything of the 12 Pro , except a camera upgrade that isn’t even as good as the 12 Pro Max, I guess the main concern was keeping a $1k model as that has ubiquitously replaced the consistent $650 model when the X came out. Glad to see 5G fully supported and I kind of prefer the boxier feel over the rounded sides.
