Apple gains a lot with an ARM chip in Macs. Better vertical integration, better development timelines, custom features, better costs, etc. But users would hopefully also get better battery life and a better performance improvement roadmap.

I could see the MacBooks move to ARM processors. Apple native apps will run out of the box and 3rd party iOS apps could be adapted, allowing their core code to run as is but with refreshed UI and UX front ends. MSFT already has ARM compatible version of Office (I think). Leave the MBPs running Intel processors for hard core users with x86 needs, but put the scare in Intel to either make better processors, charge less, or both.

having tried all the major services, Apple Music isn't necessarily the best, but if you're in the apple ecosystem, it's the most integrated, the most convenient, so I'm planning to return to Apple Music sometime this yr (been using Tidal and very happy with the high quality audio, but miss the integration with Siri and devices).

Interesting to see that Apple now has a phone lineup that spans from $350 to $1150, wow. That $1150 price point feels just absurd. Will be interesting to see how this sells. I guess I'll be holding on to my (perfectly awesome) iPhone 7 for at least another year or two.

bet even those low power high efficiency cores are a lot more powerful than the primary iPhone cores of only a few years ago!
