Perhaps design and cost cutting over function, but I’d wager that the vast majority of people rarely ever touch the power button on a Mac desktop. Even on my MacBook Pro, I might hit the power button a few times a year.

This has always been the case. If you have a phone worth $400 and the batteries need to be replaced for $120, is it worth it, or should you just sell it and get a new one? It's the same reason people who spend $3K in repairs on a ten-year-old car consider buying a new one for $40K.  

Still on my iPhone 12 Mini.

I've upgraded every couple of years since my iPhone 3S.

Now, my iPhone is almost four years old, and I still see no viable upgrade path with Apple. I fear I'll be one of those folks holding on to their iPhones until they're labeled vintage, despite my strong interest in upgrading.

Bring back a normal-sized and weighted iPhone!!!

The march towards increasingly unusable phone sizes continues. Bring back a mini sized phone. Don't leave me stranded with my 12 mini for yet another upgrade cycle.
