Goldman Sachs credit card practices under investigation by US watchdog
Like someone else mentioned, and as we most already know, it's best to not carry balances but if you have to, the rates being mentioned seem to be common now even if you've got a decent credit score.
I've kept one of my first credit cards (a little over 20 years now) which has ~ 6% rate, but the card has no 'perks' so I almost never use it. If I ever need to make a purchase though that I couldn't pay off by the needed date to avoid interest, I would probably fall back to that card. -
iOS 13 beta fixes FaceTime eye contact with image manipulation
MplsP said:“Excuse me, my eyes are up here!”
This would be cool, but it’s also the edge of a brave new world. What Apple is doing is real time computer-controlled video editing. Fixing your eyes on FaceTime is a trivial change, but what about using the technology for more complex and less-than ethical uses? We’re reaching a point where ‘live’ video may not be real, and that gets scary in our current political environment.
(Note - I’m not saying Apple would do this, just making a comment about the technology in general.)

Google is violating Apple's iPhone app privacy rules the same way Facebook did [u: disable...
wonkothesane said:Does this mean that Apple didn’t find that the apps conduct some side loading?
in this case I’m wondering how walled the garden actually still is.
The apps don’t “conduct some side loading”. The user has to “side-load” (in this case be provided the app, in this case an .ipa, .apk (for Android)) the app. iOS devices will run apps not downloaded via the App Store if signed with a valid enterprise cert. this is meant for internal organization use only. iOS devices will launch those apps unless/until the enterprise cert is revoked; which is what apple has done. -
Hands-on: iOS 10.3 beta's 'Find My AirPods' feature
jdw said:While great for AirPod users, it's a crying shame that my wife's now-lost 6th gen iPod Nano (one of the best iPods ever, IMHO) doesn't have the same feature (which Apple could have probably added to it easily).
But agree; great that AirPod users have it.
