  • Apple's Siri renovation is probably going to take longer than expected

I am shocked... SHOCKED, I say! Who woulda thunk that after 15 years of Siri idiocy under Apple, Apple wasn't going to be able to fix it in 10 months? The WWDC announcement last year always seemed suspect--it was like we were being told that Siri, essentially held back in about third grade for the past decade and a half, was suddenly going to have a PhD by next April. Sounds like maybe not.

I understand you deleting my original comment, that’s cool.

I do think Apple should have stood up though. As the old saying goes “Evil triumphs when good men do nothing”. To just go along is to assure that next time the President will be emboldened.
It's certainly a tough spot to be in. I do not envy Tim Cook right now.
Yep, imagine bending the knee to a guy who views you as a DEI hire that should never have happened. Apple's corporate values are the antithesis of everything for which the current administration stands, and it will be interesting to see how much Cook is willing to cave in the name of keeping up profits.

  • iPhone 17 Pro Max's Dynamic Island rumored to be the smallest yet

Doesn't really make sense that this would be a Pro Max exclusive. The 120mm telephoto started out that way because there simply wasn't room in the regular Pro case to fit it until a generation later, when parts size reduction made it possible. But in this case, the advancement IS a reduction in parts or parts size, which would be especially advantageous in the smaller Pro case, not to mention a bigger impact in freeing up more space on the smaller Pro screen.

  • Dubious leak details the exact specifications of Apple's foldable iPhone

Please, AppleInsider, drop the charade and end the stupidity of the Rumor Score. So unknown person "zwz," with no known or verifiable record of leaking, says some sh*t and you slap a "Possible" on it. Well, sure--I guess anything's possible on any given day, so I guess anything anyone claims going forward gets a Possible. Hey: Apple Car is coming in 2027! You read it here first! "POSSIBLE"

  • Services buoy slumping iPhone sales in record-breaking holiday quarter earnings

How many consecutive iPhone generations is it now where the catchy marketing terminologies such as “Apple Intelligence” dwarf the actual performance of the feature? What do you think SJ would say if he came back to find Siri is still about as useless and that software and hardware are about as interwoven as a burlap sack after summer camp games. Services, the garden wall, and the litigation moat are keeping this company afloat which is why so many millions are spent annually to defend it in court and why so many others want to tear it down. The hardware is still brilliant but without innovative software that lives up to the Chiat Day-on-Prozac and Millennial halcyon hype machines the market will soon give up waiting for the messiah and burn down the temple.
Steve has been dead 13.5 years. Tim has now run Apple for as long as Steve did when he returned for his second tenure as CEO. And yes, he's been a total failure, Apple is now gasping its last breaths and "the market will soon give up waiting for the messiah and burn down the temple." We know this is true because all signs and available evidence point to it:

Apple is the most valuable company on Earth.

Apple just posted another record quarter of revenue and profit in a continuing string of quarters that break previous records.

Apple was just acknowledged as The World's Most Admired Company for the 18th year in a row.

Apple's share price has increased from around $14/share just prior to Steve's death to $236 as of Friday's close.

It's ironic; the Cult of Dead Steve that formed after 2011 clings tightly to the dream that Apple will fail without him, they practically pray for it to happen and no amount of success will deter them from the fantasy that the collapse of Apple is nigh. Why? Because if Apple succeeds without Steve, maybe he wasn't God after all.
