Apple halting new iTunes LP content as of April, pulling existing bundles [u]
I'm totally unfamiliar with iTunes LP. Does it contain music with extras such as wow and flutter, pops, hiss, skips, scratches, pre and post echo, low dynamic range, variations in download quality, and progressively worse sound as you play the songs more and more? And automatically pauses halfway through? -

Apple repair facility in California made about 1,600 false alarm 911 calls since October
A simple method guaranteed to work regardless of how messed up the device is: Faraday cage. As long as it is sealed and entrance/exit portals closed it will prevent this. Use an airlock type of entrance to ensure it stays closed all the time. Put beacons inside and detectors for those outside to keep track of the cage's integrity. The only problems are that it can be a pain to retrofit into an existing work area and it costs money -- but it would probably be less than potential government fines for false alarms. -
Test finds HomePod's Siri 'at the bottom of the totem pole' in smartspeaker AI
I can believe that Siri scored lowest on the list. Apple acquired it in 2010 and it hasn't improved or expanded in capabilities much since its intro with the 4S in 2011 (do they still consider it in beta status?). Apple Maps seems to be lagging behind the competition too -- I've seen some insane suggestions that are literally over 1000 miles away favored over a logical local location.
