Apple Music sets new album streaming record 47% higher than Spotify, despite fewer users [...
Apple Music is the only service that actually WORKS. Spotify is a pile of mess and so are all other similar services, including Google Play Music or Deezer. At least those are the ones I have been using for an extended period of time. Ugly user interface that's hard to navigate, misleading search results, incomplete discographies, slow and buggy offline downloading. All of those services claim to have 30-40 million songs, but Apple Music is the only one where I actually always find stuff I'm looking for (especially when we're not talking about Top 40 type of music), the other ones usually have exactly the same poor search results. As a matter of a fact, with Google Play Music you're actually better off simply using YouTube, makes absolutely no sense to pay for their Play Music. On the other hand, I'm more than happy to pay my Apple Music family plan and I simply don't see any competition here.

SteelSeries limited edition Nimbus White game controller exclusive to Apple Store
Really glad AI brought this one up. This is the finest example of Apple's totally mismanaged MFi strategy. I own this controller and as such it's a really great product, there's just one problem with it - hardly any apps support the MFi standard. Steelseries even has a dedicated app for iOS, where you can see all the latest apps that gained MFi/Nimbus support, but guess what - this app was last updated in July 2016, no new games since then. The reason is very obvious I guess - as long as Apple doesn't make it a requirement for developers to include MFi controller support in their apps, they simply won't do it. Why would they even bother, right? In case of the Apple TV, Apple at least required devs to include support for the Siri remote, which wasn't the best decision to begin with, but it was at least some standard. Later on Apple decided to remove this requirement, hoping that it will attract more devs (which it didn't for a variety of reasons and the ATV still feels rather abandoned) and now there's no controlder standard whatsoever. So yes, the Nimbus gamepad has some great potential and is probably the best solution for Apple devices out there, unfortunately it doesn't look like this potential will be fully utilized anytime soon. -
'Super Mario Run' tops Apple's highest grossing, free app charts hours after launch
His comment is actually very spot on my friend. Have you played Mario Run yet? I have uninstalled it after just one level and no other Nintendo fan that I personally know was interested in it much longer than that. To me it looks like Nintendo simply caved in under the market pressure and decided to develop something for mobile platforms after all, just because so many people are for some weird reason convinced EVERYTHING has to be mobile these days. Well no, not everything works well using dumbed down tap controls, simple as that. To me this is unfortunately not even the best platformer on iOS, Rayman for example has been adapted much better for tap controls. Nintendo's strength has always been deep gameplay combined with complex controls and that's what creates the unique experience, that's why people love their console games. This iOS effort, in my opinion, is not even good enough to serve as marketing tool to get people buy Nintendo's consoles and their high quality titles. The early 2-3 star reviews seem to confirm that and I'm afraid this whole Mario Run hype will be over sooner than Apple or Nintendo anticipated. As a long time Nintendo fan and supporter I'm very disappointed, but hardly surprised to be honest.

Apple Music tops customer satisfaction in new JD Power study
I only became a huge fan of streaming music after Apple Music was introduced. I gave Spotify a few tries, before and after Apple Music, but it just feels so unpolished and unappealing. Maybe it's just me but Spotify always makes me feel like I have connected to somebody's hard drive, where there are just piles of improperly sorted mp3 files. Plus no exclusives, questionable sound quality and no curated radio stations (Beats 1 isn't always perfect, but it easily became my #1 radio station these days). Personally I also had no issues with the original GUI, even though so many people complained about it, but now that they mostly unified the GUI across iOS / tvOS / iTunes, I love Apple Music that much more.
